Avenging Spider-Man #7 Review

CONSENSUS: While this story isn't going to win any awards, the critics are agreed that it's a fun stand-alone tale, that's light on continuity, but heavy on laughs. While it's not a must-buy, it's a strong choice for lovers of Spider-Man, fun stories, and great art.

iFanBoy: "Do you like Spider-Man? Do you like kitties? If you answered yes to both of these, you will have a smile on your face the entire time you read this issue." 100

Chicago Comic Vault: "If you're a fan of fun, not-too-serious Spider-Man stories and don't want to worry about too much continuity - or if your a fan of Spider-Man in general - this done-in-one is perfect for you." 90

BKBN.net: "Overall, this book was the most fun read I read this week. If you can get past the crazy story in this book, it's worth the pick up." 80

Multiversity Comics: "Twenty cents a page is still quite a steep price, but if you are looking for straight-up fun superheroics without the baggage of continuity, this book is worth every penny." 78

IGN: "If you have been enjoying Avenging Spider-Man so far, this issue will probably hit all the right notes. It doesn't quite reach the heights of previous issues, but it's still a fun read and sharp looking book." 75

WhatCulture!: "I'm not saying I'll ever return to this issue and it's certainly not an issue I'd consider a great Spider-Man adventure, but somewhere in this goofy tale of Egyptian Gods and armies of cats, I was reminded what the kid in me loved about Spider-Man when I first met him. In this throw away story Spider-Man is simply fun." 60
