Scarlet Spider #5 Review
CONSENSUS: Scarlet Spider #5 is a fairly good standalone tale, but is bogged down by unnecessary cameos and a story that many thought felt rushed. But the great character development and good art manage to save this one from getting a bad score.
Comic Booked: "This issue in particular was enjoyable to me for it's practically stand-alone story, and the threat of the nuclear bomb was an exciting plot line with a humorous and satisfying conclusion." 100

Comic Vine: "The fact that we're seeing Kaine's character being built up is what makes this title so good." 60
Player Affinity: "The art is solid, but lacking when it comes to the character details. The cameos are pointless and in one case, potentially confusing. If Yost's name wasn't on the book, I would have guessed this is a rushed filler issue done by some other creators." 56
