CONSENSUS: Animal Man Annual #1 is a book with a solid story, and good (if not spectacular) art. Although the main issue is for the people who haven't been following Animal Man, it's too complex to be a jumping-on point, and for those who have, it isn't too necessary to enjoy the current story. For readers on a budget, give it a miss. But if you've been enjoying Animal Man, there's some enjoyment to be had here.
